One thing that most homeowners don’t really think about is their local utility. It’s the necessary evil … the high bills shows up … some grumbling takes place … and the bill gets paid. And as that utility pain keeps coming, most people just get numb to it and file it away in the part of their brain where painful thoughts go. But let’s slow this down some and put it in perspective. Let’s say you have a average electrical bill of a conservative $150 per month average. Let’s also figure in a moderate annual price increase of 10% per year. That works out to paying the local utility a total of $81,848 over the course of 20-years. You pay, and pay, and pay, and never ever own anything and never get ahead of the game.
What most homeowners don’t realize is that most utilities are “for-profit,” publicly traded companies. They are in the business to make money; or better said, to make money at your expense. Homeowners pay for all of their mistakes also … decommissioned nuclear power plants, underground gas explosions, CEO golden parachutes, and a variety of other miscues and miscalculations. The annual price increases typically don’t go for improvements, because they are still pumping power through the same old tired electrical grid they claim to be upgrading.
Which leads this discussion full circle to the title — EVERYBODY SHOULD BE INSTALLING SOLAR — on their homes!!! Rather than pay the utility $81,000-plus over the course of 20-years, why not power your own home for about a third of that? And, own the pink slip when its all said and done. And, it’s good for the environment. And, good for the pocketbook. Just saying!

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s difficult to get that
“perfect balance” between user friendliness and
visual appearance. I must say you’ve done a
very good job with this. In addition, the blog loads super quick for me
on Internet explorer. Excellent Blog!
Greеtings! Very useful advice in this particulaг post!
It is the little changes that make the biggest changes.
